ABOUT US
At the helm of Bahama Cool is Mario S. Brown Sr., who brings over twenty-four years of experience and an extensive background covering a wide range of HVAC equipment types and complexities.

After earning an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the then College of The Bahamas (now The University of The Bahamas), Mario decided to focus his studies on Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration through technical training at The Bahamas Technical & Vocational Institute.

He officially began his field experience as an apprentice at All Brands Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration, which was, at the time, one of Nassau’s largest Bahamian-owned HVAC companies. After completing his two-year apprenticeship, he gained employment as an HVAC mechanic with Hill York Limited, an international industry leader in the Bahamas since the late ‘60s. With experience gained on larger commercial systems, he then transitioned to Clarion’s South Ocean Resort as an Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician.

It was at South Ocean Resort that he connected with the Mechanical Division of William R. Nash out of Florida. After the resort went into receivership, Mario joined William R. Nash as their first Bahamian HVAC technician in their Nassau division. During his tenure at W.R. Nash, his work ethic and skills were recognized by the Principals and Directors of The Myers Group of Companies, leading to a job offer to join their internal maintenance team. He accepted the offer and, during this time, attained his EPA Universal Refrigerant Transition & Recovery Certification through the Air Conditioning Contractors of America.

He also earned the industry-leading NATE Service Technician Certification. After eight years as an HVAC technician, he was promoted to Field Supervisor. Two years later, he advanced to Division Manager, overseeing the service, repair, and maintenance of all air-conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems for 22+ restaurants, including six major international fast-food brands.
Through years of field and management experience, Bahama Cool was born—a vision to provide high-quality workmanship at international standards with a focus on exceptional customer service. Mario believes that with this combination of expertise and the Lord’s guidance, Bahama Cool will be a leading force in the Bahamas’ HVAC industry.
